Jonathan Martin
About
Born and raised in Thornhill, Ontario, I was introduced to golf my by father at the age of four. I joined the Thornhill Club as a sponsored junior member in 2010, and began working there as a golf services team member in the spring of 2017.
Three years later, I graduated with honours from the PGM program at Humber College, and after 5(!) unsuccessful tries, finally obtained my PGA status in May of 2022. I spent the 2023 season as an Assistant Professional with the Thornhill Club.
In 2024, I'm excited to join Oakdale Golf & Country Club as an Assistant Professional.
I have a particular interest in the mental and emotional aspects of golf, what it can teach us, and how we can optimize our mindset when playing and practicing. I hope to further my career and explore how I can specialize my knowledge in the mental game moving forward.
